Building in public
We show our own numbers.
We ask founders to connect their billing data, so it’s only fair we put ours where you can see it. This is the honest one we can show from day one: how many companies are on Beautiful Metrics over time, and how their average size is trending. No cherry-picked screenshot, no vanity metric borrowed from someone else.
The one rule
It only ever climbs.
A company counts the moment it joins, and it keeps counting even if it later removes its data and walks away. Because it existed. It chose us, used the product, and was part of the story. Erasing that when someone leaves would be its own small lie.
So the count never drops. Not a growth-hack—just the honest shape of a number that records who showed up, not who’s still here today. You’ll watch it tick over in real time: 2 joined today.
Where it’s headed
This is the first number, not the last.
Company count is what we can show honestly with a handful of customers. As more join, this page grows into the thing we’re really building toward: benchmarks. How your churn compares to companies your size. Whether your expansion revenue is normal for your stage. The context a founder never had.
That part is scale-gated, and we won’t pretend otherwise. An all-small-companies pool tells the wrong story, and no comparison ships until enough companies of enough kinds are on the platform to make it fair and to keep any single company anonymous. We capture the pieces from day one so the data’s already there when we cross the line. Capture early, compute late.
We’re not going to put a date on it. It arrives when the numbers earn it, and this page will show it the day they do.
The best way to trust a metrics tool is to watch it keep its own.
